Bring light to the counter where you prepare, cook and gather. We plan under-cabinet LEDs around the cabinetry, the surface below and the way you use the kitchen.
A local project conversation
Scintillax has a Miami-area workshop and local crew. Share your kitchen location, photographs and lighting priorities to discuss an under-cabinet installation in Miami or the surrounding Miami-Dade communities. We review the existing cabinetry and project conditions before defining the work.
A ceiling light can leave the worktop in shadow when you stand at the counter. Under-cabinet task lighting brings the source closer to that surface. Cabinet depth, the light’s position and the countertop finish all affect the result. We consider the view while standing, sitting at an island and looking across the room. A polished stone top or glossy backsplash deserves particular attention to reflected light and visible LED points.
When Scintillax is also making the cabinetry, precut LED insertion channels can be included in the approved cabinet drawing. The channel must suit the chosen profile and diffuser, which covers the LEDs and helps soften the light. We coordinate cabinet bottoms, ends, cable passages and the location of the power equipment before fabrication. This is the stage to decide which runs should work together and where switches or controls will sit.
A retrofit starts with the underside of each cabinet, its trim and the spaces between cabinet runs. Surface-mounted profiles or other suitable fixtures may be considered where a recessed detail is impractical. Share photos of corners, the range hood, current fixtures and visible wiring. We review mounting, cable paths and available power before recommending a system. Cabinet alteration and the extent of any finish work are defined in the proposal.
Bring the cabinet finish, countertop and backsplash into the same conversation. Compare the intended white light with the room’s existing lamps so the kitchen feels coherent. Bright task lighting and a lower evening setting may need different control levels. A diffuser can soften the appearance of a strip, but the profile depth, LED arrangement and viewing angle also matter. Review the proposed assembly rather than choosing by a strip’s photograph alone.
A driver supplies the power required by the selected low-voltage LEDs. Its specification must match the lighting, run lengths and control method. An existing wall dimmer is assessed for compatibility before it is included in the plan. We consider a reachable location for drivers, connections and future servicing alongside cable concealment. Electrical connections and any required licensed-trade responsibilities are defined for the actual installation before work begins.
For a Miami condo, share management requirements, permitted work hours and service-elevator or loading arrangements with the first brief. For a kitchen renovation, tell us when cabinets, counters and the backsplash will be ready. We review measurements, selections, access and trade coordination before confirming scope and timing. The proposal identifies the lighting runs, profiles, controls, preparation and fitting work included in your project.
We welcome inquiries from Miami, Doral, Hialeah, Miami Beach and communities across Miami-Dade. Share your ZIP code, the proposed work and any access requirements so we can review the project.

We review existing kitchens for a suitable retrofit. Cabinet construction, trim, mounting space, cable concealment and power access determine the approach. Send photographs of the cabinet underside and current lighting so the team can assess the work before confirming a proposal.
For new cabinetry, Scintillax can plan precut insertion channels for the selected lighting profile. Recessing a profile into existing cabinets requires a review of their construction and condition. The mounting detail is agreed for the actual cabinet rather than assumed from a reference image.
The LED spacing, diffuser, profile depth and position all influence what you see directly and in reflection. A diffuser alone does not establish a particular result. We review the proposed assembly with the countertop and normal viewing angles in mind.
The selected lights, driver and control must be compatible. Send model labels for equipment you want to keep and describe how you want to operate the lights. Any dimming or smart-control option is confirmed for the chosen system before it is included in the scope.
The number and length of cabinet runs, selected profiles, controls, cable routes, access and enabling electrical or finish work affect the quote. New cabinetry and an existing finished kitchen may require different preparation. Photographs and approximate dimensions help us review the project before providing pricing.
We review condo projects with the building’s access and work requirements. Share the location, management requirements and proposed kitchen work early. Scintillax has a Miami-area workshop and local crew; consultation arrangements and installation timing follow a review of the project.
